Well Child Visits

Well Child Visits

To keep your children healthy, it is important to bring them in for regular check-ups, sometimes called “yearly physicals” or “comprehensive health care” visits.

During these visits, we examine your child and evaluate your child’s age-specific growth, development, nutrition, medications, vaccine needs, safety, laboratory work, interim health, and all specific conditions.

Depending on your child’s age and unique health concerns, we may ask for specific laboratory work.

We recommend that you phone one of our offices several weeks in advance so you may choose the date that best fits your schedule.

Plan your preventative health care visits for ages 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 24 months, and then a yearly well check.

We will be happy to complete your childcare, school, travel, camp, and sports forms based on these exams.

Sports Physicals

Please remember that “sports physicals” performed at other sites are limited evaluations and do not constitute a yearly comprehensive health care visit.

We encourage you to bring your sports approval forms to us for completion, and we have extra Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) forms available in the office, for your convenience.

We follow the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Sports Medicine guidelines.

Sick Child Visits

At Pediatric Clinic, P.C., taking care of our patients becomes acutely important when they are sick.

We are committed to accessibility.

We reserve time throughout our daily schedule for “same day” sick child visits so that we can accommodate acutely ill children promptly.

After Hours

We prefer that you phone us for advice prior to seeking after-hours care at any urgent care or emergency room whenever possible.

The doctors take emergency calls from their homes after-hours.  Call our Answering Service at 586-445-2666 to page a doctor to call you back.
Please save routine questions-- mild illness, non-urgent chronic issues, prescription refills--for the morning whenever possible.

We encourage you to refer to our website, when practical, for answers to many frequently asked questions.

To help provide timely service to our patients, we prefer to schedule all visits.

Call our Roseville office (586) 774-7710 or our New Baltimore office (586) 725-2670 for an appointment time convenient for you and your child.

If a true emergency should arise, please telephone 911.  Emergencies are those conditions that may be life threatening, such as loss of consciousness, severe bleeding, respiratory distress, and prolonged seizures.
